It takes just a few minutes for the attendees to approve the skyscraper project without batting an eye. Meanwhile, the discussion about the bike shelter will last two hours, and the debate over whether the roof should be green or blue will divide half the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn’t just an anecdote, but a real psychological and organizational mechanism. Why do minor issues stir up such intense emotions, while the most critical ones go largely unnoticed? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This phenomenon was described by the British historian C. Northcote Parkinson. Parkinson’s Law of Triviality<\/strong> states that the time spent discussing a given problem is inversely proportional to its actual importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To put it simply: the simpler something is, the more people have an opinion about it.<\/strong> A skyscraper construction project requires specialized architectural, financial, and legal expertise\u2014hardly anyone in the room understands all these complexities, so hardly anyone speaks up.
